Beechworth Health Service improving patient relations with HappyOrNot and Push My Button

Beechworth Health Service has become the first health service in Victoria, Australia, to implement the HappyOrNot® satisfaction measurement service for patient feedback, an outcome of their search for a quick and easy way to capture continuous feedback from their visitors that would enhance their traditional methods of gathering feedback from patients, residents, and family members. BHS always strives to improve by listening to those who access their services, and are actively promoting the HappyOrNo service via their Facebook page BeechworthHealthService Facebook

HappyOrNot kiosks record patient satisfaction at the point of service with a single question to which patients respond by pushing one of four smiley buttons (green smiley face, light green semi-smiley face, light red semi-frown, or red frown). Responses are recorded along with the date and time and uploaded to the HappyOrNot cloud-based Reporting Service each day. Reports are automatically generated, demonstrating overall customer satisfaction levels, helping to isolate specific days/times of dissatisfaction and making the facilitation of implementing corrective actions more quick and easy.

HappyOrNot enables Healthcare organisations to measure and report on the Key Performance Indicator of patient and visitor satisfaction, and similar organisations implementing the service have seen an improvement in this KPI of up to 12% per year.

HappyOrNot kiosks are in use all over the world, and were introduced to New Zealand and Australia last year via reseller Push My Button.

“We are seeing a great demand from the healthcare industry, as they are always looking for new and improved ways to easily engage their visitors and patients,” says Derek Lamb, Owner of Push My Button. “Patient experience and well-being are closely related, and being able to continuously monitor the patient experience enables organisations to have a finger on the pulse of their patients’ well-being.

He continues: “Typically, organisations not only receive a 20% response rate from the Service which costs less than a daily cup of coffee, but they also reduce costs by removing those expensive ‘in person’ surveys.”
